Dave Scinto, CPA 

As one of the founding partners of Scinto Group, Dave brings a wealth of experience working with business owners, wealth-orientated individuals, and real-estate investors. He has worked with various industries, including medical and dental multi-practitioner entities, manufacturing companies, wholesale distributors, software developers, non-profit, entertainment industry, and other concerns.

Prior to becoming a CPA in 1989, Dave worked as a manufacturing analyst for an aerospace manufacturer. That experience, combined with his accounting knowledge, allows Dave to understand a company's operations and goals, and to provide meaningful contributions. Dave has provided consulting services to clients ranging in size from small, closely held companies to large, complex corporate organizations. His experience includes working with both start-up enterprises and rapidly expanding organizations. Dave holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

Dave has served on the board of directors of the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Coalition. He is president of the Underground Goldminers Museum and a member of the 49er Rotary Breakfast Club of Nevada City. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPA's, and the California Society of CPA's. He is also a part-time accounting instructor at Sierra College.


Mary Kotowski, CPA 

Mary joined our team  in 2017, bringing with her an extensive background in tax and controller work serving a wide range of clients and businesses, including manufacturing companies, engineering firms and medical practices.   She initially came on board as our Outsourced Controller, but quickly took on the role of managing our Audit and Tax Departments as well .  She prides herself on providing outstanding service to our clients.   Mary earned her CPA license in 2013 and holds a Master’s Degree in Accountancy.   Her time outside of work is spent with friends and family, enjoying the nature, food,  art and music that we are so lucky to have in our wonderful community.


Greg Blaney, CPA 

Greg joined the firm in 2019, having spent the previous six years in the audit practice of a public accounting firm, where he served a variety of clients in the agriculture and consumer markets industries. He became a CPA in 2016 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University. He is also a member of the American Institute of CPA’s. Greg enjoys time outside of work going to sporting events and spending time with friends and family.


Anne Wylie, CPA 

Anne joined the firm in 2019, having spent the previous three and a half years in the tax practice of a private accounting firm.  She has worked on local clients as well as national clients, from industries in manufacturing, supermarkets, and transportation companies. She became a CPA in 2018 and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from California State University – Sacramento. In addition, she holds two associate degrees from Heald College in Computer Technology and Sierra College in Business. Anne enjoys spending time with family and friends, road biking, and coming soon… Golf.


Brian Berger, Staff Accountant

Brian joined the firm in 2018 after graduating from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelors in accounting.  In 2019, he earned a Masters in Accountancy through Sacramento State.  He provides valuable assistance to our audit and tax projects while studying to obtain his CPA.   In his spare time he enjoys training for marathons, triathlons, and exploring new places on his road bike.


Wanda Dwyer, Bookkeeper

Wanda brings a tenured variety of accounting experience to SG and is our QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She enjoys working with clients in need of accounting assistance and clean-up. She is often found out at client's locations bringing their books up to date as well as training the clients in proper accounting protocol. Wanda currently works on a project specific basis and spends the rest of her time enjoying her grandbabies, volunteering and outdoor activities.


Hollie Grimaldi Flores, Bookkeeper 

Hollie joined Scinto Group in 2016.   Her first job out of high school was working as an accounts payable clerk for IBM in Endicott, New York and she has been involved in the financial side of business ever since.    Since the mid-1980’s she has held a variety of accounting related positions in a variety of industry including video production, printing, manufacturing, medical, broadcasting and nonprofit disciplines.  She founded her own full charge bookkeeping service, Balancing Act, in 2001.   Hollie is an independent writer and broadcaster.  She married her second husband in 2001 and co-raised 7 children, now adults, and all living independently.  When not working, she enjoys reading, hiking, attending sporting events and travel.


Julie Schlothauer, Bookkeeper 

Julie joined Scinto Group in 2020.  She was born and raised in Nevada County and graduated from Chico State University in 1988.  Her first job out of college was working for Sacramento County Department of Parks and Recreation where she administered community programs and special events. This role included event budgeting, forecasting, bookkeeping and reconciliation duties. In 1992 she took a similar position working for the Incline Village Parks and Recreation department where she gained fund accounting experience.  Julie and her husband Dave moved back to Grass Valley in 1999 to raise their children and be closer to family.  Her years of experience with QuickBooks came while working for an outdoor sports and apparel retailer.  When not working, Julie enjoys spending time in the outdoors gardening, walking and downhill skiing with her husband, family and friends.   


Stacy Craig, Office Manager

Stacy came to the firm in 2009 and has been with us ever since. She had 20 years of Office Manager experience when she came to us from the Los Angeles area. She takes the lead in managing the office from the day to day functions, A/P, A/R, Payroll, Human Resources, IT, and is vital to keeping the partners organized and pitches in wherever she is needed. Stacy has a wonderful family and enjoys time outside of work attending sporting events, camping and travel.


Courtney Butterfield, Front Office Administration

Courtney joined us in the beginning of 2014 and has over eight years' experience in office administrative work. She has many duties at the firm and is considered the "glue that keeps it all together". She has a Bachelor's degree from San Diego State University. When Courtney is not helping our clients or our team, she spends her time with family and friends. She is a wonderful addition to our team.
